9 years ago, this amazing woman, Kaitlin came into my life. I never knew when we met that one day I would be standing by her side as she married the love of her life. I can't believe she is getting married in 2 DAYS!!!

Let me tell you a little about our story... we first met when she came home from vacation from New York. I was hanging out with some friends at her (at the time) boyfriends house and she had just gotten into town and came over to hang out. Her boyfriend happened to be one of my childhood friends. We had known each other since we were 5. When we were hanging out, I got the impression that they were broken up and had been for a little while so we were being kind of flirty with each other. Once she got there he explained to me that she is trying to stay with him and that he will tell her it is officially over. After some confusion, tears, anger and strong passionate exchange of words, Kaitlin and I quickly became best friends. Her boyfriend at the time broke things off with her then he started dating me. A year into our relationship we had a mutual friend suddenly pass away so we decided to have some friends over at our apartment to just remember him and cheer each other up. Kaitlin was one of the friends that came over. Her and I were both over the drama from what happened and started talking and realized how awesome each other was. We eventually broke the ice and started talking about what happened with the guy I was dating and we found out some things that neither of us knew about the situation. We put it behind us and continued to grow a stronger bond. When I broke up with that guy, she was my first phone call and she came and picked me up immediately without any hesitation. I lived with her right after that for a couple months until I got back on my feet. Her family took me in and at that point we became sisters, or as we like to say, Seestir. She doesn't have any siblings so she just had her close girl friends that felt like sisters to her and I am lucky to be one of them.

The adventures we have shared over the last 9 years have been unforgettable. I have never been through so much with a friend. We went from girls who loved to be out all night going to parties and bars to girls that like to stay in and drink wine while we paint our nails and watch Disney movies. Our lives have changed so much and we stuck through it with each other. In 2011 I became a christian. While I lost contact with all of my old friends, I remained in contact with her. It was challenging at first to find ways to connect because she was still going out and living that same life and I was in a serious relationship ready to settle down. We kept in touch and hung out whenever we could and I reminded her that even though I had a different lifestyle, I still cared for her just the same. For years I prayed that God would use me in her life to show her His love and His way of life. In 2015, that prayer was answered. Kaitlin decided on her own that she was ready to give her life to God. I explained that all of her problems won't go away because she got baptized, but that she wasn't alone and I would not leave her side through her walk with God. We got even closer once she became a Christian.

I am so proud of the woman she is today. After dedicating her life to Christ, she has walked through some pretty crappy things. She was determined to stay faithful to God and get up everytime life knocked her down. Her love for God and her knowledge inspired me to be a better friend and to love people harder then I ever had. Her heart was so full of love for people. People who were broken, people who were also following Christ, her enemies.... she just had this love for people that I had never seen in someone. I am so blessed that God used me to bring her to Him.

I look back on all of the photos and memories and see how far we have come together. We have made each other stronger. I miss the days of living together and always doing fun things together. Our life looks a little different now but our friendship has only gotten stronger. I am so excited to be apart of the biggest day of her life and to be with her through another life event.

Seestir,

I am in tears as I write this thinking about you being a bride. You are going to look flawless and I can't wait to see you! I am excited for this new journey for you and your future husband and I love that I get to be apart of it. You guys make an amazing couple and you will do so many great things for Gods Kingdom. I can't believe that your and your fiancé's day is almost here! The day that you 2 become 1. Marriage is a beautiful gift and I'm ecstatic to see you become a WIFE! I wouldn't take back ANY of the memories that we share and I can't wait to see 9 years from now where our life is at. I love you Seestir!
