This is the place I call home. The place where memories are made. Dancing in the living room, making messes on the kitchen table, doing endless laundry of little clothes with dirt from playing, reading books, splashing in the bath tub, learning how to do new things, goodnight kisses, after bath cuddles and family movie nights. I love being able to create my home and create an environment that my kids will forever remember and maybe pass on some of the traditions to their families one day. I am in awe of how God has answered my prayer for providing me with our own place. I knew it would be good if he waited for His timing. I never thought it would be THIS good.
I want to share pieces of my home that mean a lot to me...

This couch is perfect for our little family. We can all fit on it and cuddle up and watch a movie. This is where my husband and I can relax at the end of a long day and just hold each other and talk about our days. This is the place that I can have peace and calmness as I look outside and drink my coffee and journal or pray. Our couch is sooo soft and comfy and a great place to take a quick nap. I am looking forward to the conversations I have in this living room with people I love about life and look back to when we first moved in and think about all the great talks this couch has heard.

This little table means a lot to me. This lamp is something I took from my moms house. She wasn't using it so I decided to take it as a little piece of her in my home. In front of the lamp is the little statue. This is a gift that my grandpa gave my grandma years ago and it is something that she wanted me to have when she passed. The bible was a gift from Patricks brother and it has our names engraved on the front of the bible. Inside of it has notes from his mom, sister, dad and brother reminding us of Gods love and encouraging our walk together with God. The journal on top is what I take notes in when I listen to sermons. On the front of it is an anchor reminding me that God is my anchor. The wood cross is something Patrick made with our leftover wood from our coffee table. The candle was a gift from when I went to the women's Christmas Tea at our new church. Whenever I see the candle or burn it, it brings me back to the memories of that night being surrounded by so many loving and godly women and feeling so assured of who I am as a woman and assured of our new church and that it is where God wants us.

OUR BEAUTIFUL COFFEE TABLE that we fixed up ourselves!
This is what it used to look like...

This is the first DIY project that we did, all on our own! Patrick sanded it all down, cut the wood, sanded the wood and stained the wood. I painted the table adhered the wood and added the little knob. I LOVE the way it turned out and looks better then I imagined it would. The little marble tile on top is something I found at a thrift store. I love the look of white marble (Yes, it is a slab of REAL white marble). I think it is so beautiful and elegant. So, we have it there for decor and to put our drinks on so we don't ruin the table. The little statue on top is a gift from my grandma when Patrick and I got married.

Our cute little dining room. We got a small table because we didn't know how much space we would have. Once the kids are a little older we will get a bigger table that can fit all 4 of us. For now, this is perfect for us and its nice to have the extra space. We have folding chairs that we pop out when Patrick is home for dinner that way we can all sit together. I would like to get a mat to put under the table but I am still looking for the perfect one. That window looks into Annabelle's room. So we get a lot of light when we open those blinds as well as her blinds in her room.

Our kitchen is pretty spacious for an apartment. I love having the huge counter space above the dishwasher and the window next to the sink. I love having natural light in my home and this place does NOT lack that! Every morning I open all the blinds and make my coffee. I love the smell of coffee with the brightness of the morning sun. Something about that makes my long day ahead seem doable. I love to cook and feed guests. Having so much cupboard space fits all of my cookware, dishware and anything I need access to from my kitchen makes me so happy. Our sink faucet is something I was NOT expecting when we moved in. The manager who used to manage this apartment complex lived in this unit. So, they have little upgrades throughout the apartment that no one else has! The end of the faucet can be switched to a sprayer and detaches and pulls out so I can rinse out the sink with it. Its a feature I never thought I would love so much. It also makes washing large dishes much easier!

This is my favorite part of Annabelle's room. The place where I rock her and cuddle her at night singing her lullabies and worship music. The place where I calm her and soothe her and tell her everything will be okay. She LOVES to be rocked so we spend a lot of time here to ease her to sleep as I give her a bottle. The sign above the rocking chair is a gift from my Mother in Law and it is the PERFECT piece for her room. The colors are perfect and I love the saying. I have so many dreams for my kids and I will do everything I can to raise them to be strong children of God and to impact His kingdom in a way that my family has taught me how. That little chalkboard is plain for now, but I plan on writing a quote "La vie est Belle" which means "Life is Beautiful" in french. We call Annabelle, Belle for short and I recently learned that Belle in french means Beautiful. So, I thought that saying was very fitting for her room!

This is Joshuas room. I give all credit to Patrick for the design of his room. Since we were pregnant with Joshua, Patrick knew he wanted his room to be star wars theme. So, we have collected Star Wars stuff over the last 2 years and are now able to put all of it in his room. His room is HUGE! He has TWO closets!!! I'm glad we have so much space in his room because that is where I keep all of his toys. I am still working on organizing his closets and putting his room together. For now, he has access to all of his toys and books and we have our Star Wars decor hung on the walls. We had his crib converted into a big boy bed for a little while to test it out but we decided to put it back up. I kept worrying that he would get out of bed and out of his room and I wouldn't hear him then something happening to him while I sleep. So, we are going to wait a little bit longer and let him get more comfortable in this home and in his room before we take it down again. He was upset at first when we put it back up, but he's fine now.

Lastly, my little blogging corner in my room! I will do a room update once we get it all together. I love this little corner so much! The unique clock is my favorite thing about this spot. I love things that are different and unique and that Ive never seen anyone else with. I have never seen this clock or anything like it... not to mention the colors go PERFECT for the little theme I have going on.
Here is a more detailed look of the clock and my pen holder:

I saved the best for last. This is the part that I think my grandma would be so proud of! She always loved my artwork and loved when I would draw/paint. I found this white marbled and gold trimmed white board and thought it would be there perfect canvas for the lyrics from my grandmas favorite worship song Give me Jesus- by Jeremy Camp. The little gold stapler was on sale at Home Goods and is what inspired the theme I put together for this area. I found this little gold frame to go with it and instead of putting a photo in there, I decided to write the name of my blog site. My mom thought I printed it out and was so proud of my artistic ability. That put a huge smile on my face.

I hope you enjoyed reading about the special parts I love most about my home! If you want to see updates of what else I do with my apartment, follow me on Instagram and keep an eye on my insta videos.
