Warm flavors of a nutty vanilla coffee with a slight taste of pumpkin and just the right amount of cinnamon spice makes this my new favorite fall drink! It tastes like fall in a cup! Coffee drinkers, you MUST try this! I created a syrup recipe that you can use in hot or cold latte's, add it to your normal cup of coffee, add to your hot cocoa or apple cider, really anything you used flavored syrup for. If you love pumpkin spice and those type of flavors, you will not be disappointed!

I created this recipe myself as I was trying to find a new way to "spice" up my normal morning cup of coffee. I am saving this and using it every fall. I will also add this recipe to my pinterest. If you care to look at my pinterest (I'm working on updating it) you can follow me and see the recipe on there and share it with your friends and family.

I will list all of the ingredients below as well as the links for the coffee and spices that I used.

Fall in a Cup

Ingredients:

1.5 Cup Water

1 Cup Granulated Sugar

3/4 Cup Brown Sugar

1/4 Cup Pumpkin Puree

1 Tbsp. Vanilla Extract

Directions:

In a medium sauce pot add the water and both sugars over a low-medium heat. Stir occasionally with a whisk and wait for the sugar to dissolve which takes about 5 minutes once the temperature is warm enough. Once you can stir the whisk easily and the sugar is dissolved, add the pumpkin puree, vanilla extract and mulling spice blend at once. There is no need to crush the spices since you will strain the mixture through a cheese cloth. Keeping the pot on a low-medium heat, let mixture sit for 10 min stirring occasionally. After 10 minutes put the cheesecloth into a large measuring bowl and pour the mixture into the cheesecloth. Allow the syrup to cool down before storing. Store in a mason jar or air tight container. No need to refrigerate, you can leave it on your counter.

Recipe Recommendation:

Pour 1/8 Cup of the syrup into a cup of the brewed Vanilla Nut Coffee and add your preference of milk. My husband likes it with almond milk but I like the creaminess of regular milk. For a sweeter taste to your coffee, add 1/4 cup of the syrup to your coffee. You can also put this syrup in a cup of espresso and steamed milk to make a latte out of it. Either way, its delicious and puts you in the fall season mood!
