Morning Routine with a Toddler and Baby

My morning routine changes a little as Annabelle gets older but for the most part its pretty consistent. 5 days out of the week I am on my own in the morning with the kids. So this routine is what I do the 5 days out of the week! I hope you enjoy :)
Every morning Annabelle wakes up around 7:30-7:45. After cuddling in bed for a while, I throw on my slipper socks, my comfy sweater and head downstairs to make her breakfast and my coffee. Usually Patrick makes coffee before he leaves in the morning so there is a cup ready for me! After I make my coffee I make Annabelle her breakfast. I found this baby cereal that she LOVES and is so easy to make which makes my mornings really easy. Happy Baby Organic Probiotic Baby Cereal is what I give her everyday. I started with 1 Tbsp and now she takes 2 Tbsp. All I do is put it into a bowl and add equal parts room temperature water then mix it up and serve it to her. Some mornings I grab a muffin or something small for breakfast and eat with her and some mornings I just drink my coffee then eat breakfast with Joshua when he wakes up. This morning I had a pumpkin muffin from sprouts. SO GOOD!
After breakfast I come back upstairs and clean Annabelle up and get her dressed and ready for the day. Depending on what we are doing that day, I will put her in around the house comfy clothes or put a cute outfit on her. Today, we have a few errands to run so I put one of my favorite outfits on her (click on the photo and it will take you to the link of her outfit). Lately she has been taking a morning nap 9-9:30 for about 30-45 min. While she is down I use that time to get ready for the day, make my bed and straighten up myÂ
room. Today I'm using that time to blog. OnceÂ
Joshua wakes up he likes to play upstairs for 10-15 minutes then will let me know he's ready to go down stairs by asking me for my hand then leading me to the stairs and saying "down". If Annabelle wakes up before we go downstairs, I lay her on her play mat while Joshua eats breakfast. I use that time to clean up after breakfast and wipe all the counters down for the day. I rinse out my coffee french press and clean Annabelle's bottle then load any dirty dishes from breakfast into the dishwasher. After Joshua finishes breakfast we head upstairs to get him cleaned up and dressed. If I need to finish getting ready he will just play in his room and run around upstairs.Â
After both kids are dressed and ready for the day I will straighten up their rooms, open up the windows for some fresh morning air and refill their humidifiers so that they are ready for nap time. Then, I grab the diaper bag (my favorite thing ever!) and head downstairs to put our shoes on, grab our Contigos and head out.

On mornings that we are staying home, I still get the kids out of their jammies because we play in the backyard or walk over to the park. Obviously some mornings have a rough start and things change a little. This is the routine that works for us and that I try to stick to on a day to day basis.Â
