It is officially fall and this is my favorite season. The weather gets colder, the leaves on the trees change colors and its the season for all of the most wonderful holidays! I have so many childhood memories of going to pumpkin patches and carving pumpkins, going ice skating in the fall/winter time, decorating the house for Christmas and going christmas tree shopping... the list goes on. I love that I have a family of my own to do all of those things with! I am excited to start new traditions this year with my family and to bring in some of the traditions my husband and I already have. Today I am going to talk about some of my favorite fall beauty products, decor, recipes and scents.

First, lets talk beauty...

Fall color nail polish is the thing I look forward to every season! My favorites are dark burgundy and red colors, the beautiful neutrals/taupe colors and of course, black. My all time favorite nail polish brand is OPI. I have been using it for 10 years and MOST of my nail collection is that brand. I love the fun names they have and the colors are just amazing! My nail polish lasts long and always looks professionally done. I have built quite the collection over the last few years...

Here are a few of my go to fall nail colors:

Tiramisu for Two

You Don't Know Jacques!

OPI Scores a Goal

Malaga Wine

Skating on Thin Ice-land

In the Cable Car-pool Lane

Never Have too Mani Friends

All of those colors can be found on OPI's website opi.com

You can also find OPI at Target and many different beauty stores.

My other fall favorite beauty product is the Morphe Eyeshadow Palette 35O

I use this palette almost everyday that I do my makeup. I love the variety of warm colors, mattes and shimmers. These colors look great on ALL skin tones and the pigment of the eyeshadows are amazing! They last all day and you can use just a little bit to keep the color light or build the color and make it bolder. I can do so many different looks with this palette. It is definitely my go to.

Now lets talk about Fall Decor!

Even though I don't have my own place yet, I still love to look at Pinterest for Fall Decor ideas. When I had my own place back in California, I always went with this kind of a color theme:

When my husband and I move out, I will stick to this color theme because I love it so much! We got rid of a lot of our stuff when we moved and unfortunately a lot of our decor. So, I am so excited to decorate next year in my own place!

Because I don't have any of my own items to show you I will link my friends youtube video of her Fall House Tour and EVERYTHING she uses, I love! She is truly my inspiration when it comes to decorating my home.

You can see her video here: Rachelle & Justin "Fall House Tour"

You can also peep at her Pinterest for her Christmas inspirations and other house decor ideas.

Lastly, my favorite recipes and scents...

I'll start with recipes. I LOVE to cook especially on cozy rainy days (like today, it is 50 degrees and rainy outside in Colorado). I mostly like to do crock pot or soups for the fall weather. Most of my recipes I have found by googling stuff and stumbled upon these websites.

I'll start with my best friends favorite... Cream of Tomato Soup, it goes perfect with a grilled cheese sandwich.

My personal favorite is the Broccoli Cheddar Soup. Usually I will make this with a toasted baguette

This Paleo Crock Pot Chili recipe is AMAZING! Pair it with some home made Cornbread... you will not be disappointed!

I found the perfect Pumpkin Spice Latte recipe! This specific recipe doesn't have coffee in it but, you can always add espresso and it will taste better then Starbucks. If you don't like coffee but you like pumpkin spice latte, then this is perfect for you!

Moving on to scents... I know that now everyone (including myself) likes to diffuse oils to make your home smell amazing. I don't have any recommendations for what oils you can diffuse but I know Pinterest has A TON of combinations to make your home smell like fall/winter. What I do have is a home remedy and a trick to make your home smell good. The most organic way (in my opinion) to make your home smell good is to boil a small pot of water on the stove (back burner preferably) and add some cinnamon sticks, apples and a teaspoon of vanilla extract. Once the water is boiling, just simmer it for however long you want to. This will not only fill your house with a good scent, it will also add some moisture into the air. You can also look online for other recipes that you can put in a pot on the stove to get the scent you desire. Another option is to replace your normal household cleaner with this amazing scented all purpose cleaner by Mrs. Meyers. Apple Cider is their seasonal scent and they have it in a hand soap, dish soap and cleaner. At the end of the day just wipe down any surfaces that need cleaning with this cleaner and it will quickly and instantly smell like fall. Bath and Body Works has some really good candles that are mouthwatering when you light them. However, I have heard/read so much about the toxins that those candles put into the air and I just don't want to do that in my home. Also, having an active toddler around who climbs everything makes me nervous to have an open flame that he could possibly get to. I have an electric stove and I can easily put a small pot on the back burner and there is no way he can climb up to reach the stove where the hot pot is, so I'm not as worried about that.

I hope you enjoyed my Fall Favorites and that I gave you some ideas for you to try in your home. If there is anything that you absolutely love to do every fall, please leave a comment so I can try it too. I always like to try new things!
